Chemistry lab question?

Not sure if this will help, but acetic acid is a weak acid. Combining it with a strong base, NaOH, will totally annihilate it. Not sure about the 'unboiled water' part. Why do they mention that it is unboiled.. hmrm. Unboiled would mean that CO2 is likely to be dissolved, but that makes carbonic acid.
