If I was being inappropriate for asking my dear friend to wear a Victoria Secret Pajama set?

If she felt that the gift was inappropriately intimate, she should not have accepted it in the first place. With that being said, it is also not ever appropriate for the gift-giver to even suggest how a gifted item should be used. It seems there may have been inappropriate behavior on both sides.
