My kitten has a little stick poking out from his bum?

hi harry has a little stick poking out about 1 inch from his bum its not worms its a little hard twig very very thin, we have tryed to grab it but just cant get it out, do we leave it untill he has another poo or are we best to pull it out, its not bothering him could this do any damage, think hes picked it up in the garden hes always bringing twigs in, or it could be a leaf stork, he is safe in the garden he cant escape and we are always watching him.
