Men answer: Is it weird when a guy says he doesn't want to have anymore?

Ok so my boyfriend and I have had about 10 times over the year we have been together ( we started having about 5 months into the relationship?. We go for hours and I lost my virginity to him. Before me he's only had with one person and that was a year before we stated dating so he abstained for a year. He has always told me that he can go months without have and now he is saying that he does want to have anymore or for while. I have had about two pregnancy scares, so could that be the source? Yes we use protection. He just says that he doesn't want to have sex for a while and won't give me a reason other than he just doesn't want to have sex for a while. We do have oral and things like that, just not actual sex.
